Without explanation (2) Fiction

Date and Time: 19 May 2017, 7.00 pm

Cyril and I meet at the Queen Victoria Market, because it’s getting chilly at night, we share a Gluehwein drink.

I say, "Alfred was killed by his half brother, the half brother's family is living under poverty, but he suddenly became very rich. Alfred told his half brother that his money came from his late mother. And his half brother wished him could contribute his living expense. But Alfred refused. "

Cyril asks me, "You didn't  mention you have a rich classmate. Going to public school was not the rich family's practice."

I say, "Alfred's mother was the owner of a restaurant."

We finished our drink, and it is getting cold so we decided to dine at Melbourne Central.

After come into the warmer indoor, we choose to eat Malaysian Curry Laksa.

I say, "Operating a restaurant could buy a house and an office building in South Yarra, I want to sell the house, using the money to operate a restaurant."

Cyril, "I thought you want to study Laws."

I say, "Okay, I will buy an apartment in Port Melbourne. Rent to the nobles."

Cyril, "Nobles will buy their own palace. Shift to live in South Yarra, and study hard."

I say, "I have to quit my sales job, if I'm going back to school, therefore I need to sell the house to pay for my living expense. Or I should study part-time only, then I can keep my job. And living in South Yarra house, no need to pay rent again."

I ask Cyril, again, "Do you want to drive to the Mt Dandenong again, we haven't been there since the bush fire."

"That restaurant we used to have lunch was not opened again. Why not having lunch at Dandenong Market."

While we are talking, a stranger sits down beside us, and starts talking, "Woo, Alfred Jones died only for a few days, his widow is having an love affair with another man."

I ask her, "Who are you?"

She says, "I am a business partner of your late husband."

I say, "Are you a lawyer?"

"No, I am a money lender. We can form a new team. He gave you a house and an office building, but no cash, it was because he could not recover his capital, which was a loan lent to a debtor. The debtor was dead. We normally bearing risk like that."

Cyril paid the bill and we ran away from the noodle shop.

I want to cry, and say to Cyril, "Alfred's money came from this illegal money lending crime. I forgot to ask her name, how can we tell the police about her?"

Cyril and I go to the police department and testifying what we knew about Alfred Jones.

Police found out Alfred's mother and grandfather were disappeared and no legacy or property was found.

Police has been investigating the illegal human organ transplantation in Melbourne, and trying to relate the reported missing persons; because they had told their relatives and friends about their debts before they went missing.

Recently, there are patients have been admitted to the hospital because of organ infected by bacteria after transplantation operations at other places, which may be related.
